You know how to download and install it.

You know how to install new themes and plugins, and you know how to activate them.

But what about the situations where you have an existing website built in HTML and you want to turn it into a content-managed WordPress site?

Or what if you have browsed through the available themes but still cannot find the one that is right for you?

This workshop will solve these problems.

In the first part, we will break down the anatomy of a WordPress theme and see how it is constructed. We will build our own custom theme from scratch, and then take what we learn and apply it to existing themes to see how we can go about editing them.

In the second part, we will take a look at some of the more advanced WordPress theming features, such as taking advantage of commenting and user feedback channels, as well as integrating some reliable and useful WordPress plugins and see how we can integrate them into our website.

Along the way, we will pick up some tricks in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP to help us really take control of our project.

This workshop is part two of a two-part series. Sign up for BOTH WORKSHOPS and save $20!!  http://wordpressbundle.eventbrite.com/
